Fashion Network Photo Installation of light-boxes, 100*100cm (each light-box), 2010.
The work originated from my final BA Photography project and research on the topic of Fashion. The final project itself resulted in numerous photographic details of images of fashion TV networks presented through a kind of performative ritual mediating between that of a catwalk and a scientific experiment: I showed the jury as many photographs, played on a table as playing cards, as the fixed time of the performance allowed. These were details of scenes of satellite television channels, which are illegal in Iran but seen by millions of Iranians. There are no real fashion shows to attend. I later exhibited the same photographic project (the video of which included) in Mohsen Gallery, this time as an installation of light-boxes.
Self-Portrait Photo slideshow, 2009.
This is an ongoing project in which I re-photograph self-portraits of myself taken in the past four years. The viewer is free to choose for how long s/he continues watching the series, which currently consist of about 300 photographs and are limited here due to the presentation time.
Game Photo, 2009.
A redesign of a mine-sweeper, a globally known popular computer game also found in the Windows built-in games from the earliest versions up to current date. These are photographs of how the final redesigned game will look like. I have played with the notion of chance in relation to the current political situation of Iran.
